Bandera Reel FLEX®
Compact and Flexible Production Waste Recycling System
Bandera Reel FLEX® is a compact and flexible recycling system developed for complex manufacturing facilities with multiple production lines and consequently high volumes of production waste.
Capable of adapting to plastic production waste in different shapes and forms, Reel FLEX® enables film and plastic waste generated during production to be recovered and reused within the production facility.
It can be configured particularly for the recovery of different waste materials such as multilayer film rolls, lightly printed films, bio-based plastics and PP nonwoven materials.
Recycling Suitable for Different Types of Production Waste
Reel FLEX® is designed not only for a specific waste form but also for processing plastic waste with different physical structures.
The system can be configured with feeding options suitable for different material types such as:
- Film rolls
- Bulk materials
- Edge trims
- Folded film waste
- Light and loose plastic waste
This flexibility enables manufacturers generating waste in different formats from multiple production lines to use a single recycling solution.
Key Technologies of Reel FLEX®
Advanced Degassing System
Reel FLEX® can be equipped with an advanced degassing system to remove moisture and volatile components that may be generated during material processing.
With the optional VOC removal feature, volatile organic compounds (VOC) as well as moisture can be removed during the process.
Counter-Rotating Twin-Screw Extruder
One of the core technologies of Reel FLEX® is its counter-rotating twin-screw extruder system.
The patented screw and barrel geometry enables controlled melting, mixing and homogenization of the material.
This configuration helps process production waste with different characteristics within a stable process.
Homogenization of Multilayer Materials
Twin-screw extrusion technology allows materials consisting of different polymer layers to be effectively mixed.
It provides a solution for material homogenization particularly when recycling multilayer film structures such as PE/PA/EVOH.
Flexible Feeding System
Reel FLEX® can be configured with various feeding systems according to different waste types.
Feeding options include:
- Horizontal screw force-feeding silo
- Inclined screw feeding for rigid materials
- Direct feeding
This configuration allows the appropriate feeding solution to be selected according to the physical form of the material and process requirements.
Water-Jet Cutting and Pelletizing System
Reel FLEX® is equipped with a water-jet cutting and pelletizing system to obtain the recovered material in high-quality pellet form.
Thanks to the specially designed die and water cutting system, stable and high-quality pellet production is targeted even at high production capacities.
Optional Filtration System
Dust or other foreign substances may accumulate on production waste during storage.
Reel FLEX® can optionally be configured with a manual filtration system to remove these types of contaminants.
This feature helps improve process reliability when reprocessing stored production waste.
Processable Materials
Reel FLEX® is designed for the recovery of various flexible film and plastic production wastes.
Typical materials include:
- Bio-based plastics
- Lightly printed films
- Multilayer film rolls
- For example PE/PA/EVOH
- PP nonwoven materials
The appropriate feeding and process configuration can be determined according to the material structure and production process.

Maximum Capacity: 150 kg/h
Reel FLEX® i72 is the model with a maximum production capacity of 150 kg/h.
Capacity may vary depending on the type and density of the material being processed, the feeding method and process conditions.
