Sesotec HopperMagnet is a permanent-magnet separation system developed to remove ferromagnetic foreign bodies from dry, free-flowing raw materials in plastics-processing applications.
Installed directly in the material hopper, the system captures iron particles before they reach the production machine. This helps improve product purity and protect injection-moulding, extrusion and blow-moulding machines from metal-related damage.
As the raw material passes over the magnetic grid, ferrous foreign bodies are attracted by strong permanent magnets and retained on the surfaces of the magnetic rods. Metal-free material continues into the production process.
