Bandera Tray-to-Tray® – PET Tray Recycling Technology
From Recycling to New PET Tray Production
Bandera Tray-to-Tray® is a dedicated Extrusion Coating system developed to support the recycling loop of PET trays and complement PET rigid film and sheet production lines.
The system is designed to enable recycled PET material to be reused in the production of new PET trays. Bandera's approach supports a PET tray cycle aimed at producing 100% recyclable products from 100% recycled material.
The Tray-to-Tray® solution can be integrated in-line into existing PET production lines or installed independently from the existing production process in an off-line / roll-to-roll configuration.

In-Line or Off-Line Application
One of the key advantages of Tray-to-Tray® technology is its ability to provide different installation options according to the existing production setup.
In-Line Integration
The system can be integrated in-line into a PET rigid film/sheet production line. This allows recycled PET to be incorporated directly into the production process within the existing production line.
Off-Line / Roll-to-Roll
In applications where modifying the production line is not preferred, the Tray-to-Tray® system can be installed off-line and operated according to a roll-to-roll principle.
This configuration provides an alternative solution that allows the existing PET production infrastructure to be maintained.
Circularity in PET Packaging
The fundamental approach of Tray-to-Tray® technology is to return the material used in PET trays to the production cycle.
Bandera's PET technologies provide solutions for processing different rPET sources, including recycled PET, thermoforming waste and recycled PET obtained from preforms. This approach to using recycled material in PET sheet lines supports the circular production concept that forms the basis of Tray-to-Tray®.
VelPET® and Lighter Packaging®

VelPET® is Bandera's patented technology for the production of structural E-PET foam film. The technology is aimed at developing lighter and recyclable packaging solutions.
