Bandera SmartDuty® – PET Sheet Extrusion Line
Bandera SmartDuty® is a compact and user-friendly Flat Die extrusion line developed specifically to meet the requirements of thermoforming and FFS (Form-Fill-Seal) applications in PET sheet production.
As one of Bandera's most popular product ranges, SmartDuty® is available in the medium-capacity class with 700 kg/h and 1,000 kg/h options. The line has been designed to optimize production efficiency, ease of process management, space requirements and investment costs.
Flexible Solution for PET Sheet Production
SmartDuty® is designed for the production of PET sheets used in various packaging applications, particularly food packaging.
The line can be adapted to different sheet thicknesses and widths required by thermoforming and FFS applications, providing a flexible production platform capable of meeting different manufacturing requirements.

Thermoforming and FFS Applications
SmartDuty® has been developed particularly for the production of PET sheets used in rigid food packaging applications.
The PET sheets produced can be used in applications such as:

Compact Design, Easy Operation
SmartDuty® is designed with a compact layout aimed at maximizing the efficient use of production space.
User-friendly process management is designed to enable operators to manage the line easily, while rapid installation also contributes to optimizing the commissioning process of the investment.
Dryerless PET Extrusion Technology
One of the key features of Bandera's PET extrusion technology is the ability to process PET without dehumidification or pre-drying through HVTSE® co-rotating twin-screw extruder technology.
Within Bandera's PET product range, this technology, combined with a co-rotating twin-screw extrusion system operating under high vacuum, forms the basis of solutions for processing both virgin and recycled PET.
Note: This technology is a feature of Bandera's overall PET platform. It should therefore be considered within the scope of Bandera PET Extrusion Technology rather than as a confirmed standard configuration specific to SmartDuty®.
VelPET® – Lighter Packaging Solutions
The SmartDuty® platform, together with Bandera's VelPET® technology, also enables the development of lighter PET packaging solutions.
VelPET® is a patented Bandera technology for the production of structural E-PET foam film. The technology is intended to contribute to the development of lighter and recyclable packaging solutions as alternatives to traditional rigid PS and PET packaging.
In-Line Thermoforming Option
An in-line thermoforming solution can also be offered for SmartDuty® when required.
This configuration makes it possible to combine PET sheet extrusion and thermoforming within the same production concept. Bandera offers this solution in cooperation with leading thermoforming machine manufacturers.

Technical capacity and line configuration may vary according to the material used, product structure, sheet width, thickness and customer process requirements. Bandera offers SmartDuty® in the 700 and 1,000 kg/h capacity classes.
Bandera PET Technology
Bandera develops technologies for processing both virgin and recycled PET in PET film and sheet extrusion. Within its PET product range, Bandera offers HVTSE® co-rotating twin-screw extruders, high-performance filtration systems, advanced Flat Die heads, lamination solutions and different winding systems.
