Bandera Geo FutureFilm® – Geomembrane Extrusion Lines
Bandera Geo FutureFilm® comprises blown film extrusion lines developed for the production of geomembranes used in mining, waste containment, water reservoirs, irrigation canals and other waterproofing applications.
Bandera's Geo FutureFilm® solutions can be customized according to production requirements and can offer line configurations for film thicknesses between 0.50 mm and 3 mm, usable widths of 6–8 meters and production capacities of up to 1,200 kg/h.
Production of Wide and Thick Geomembranes
Unlike standard blown film applications, geomembrane production requires greater film thickness, wider film dimensions and high process stability.
Geo FutureFilm® is designed for geomembrane production within a thickness range of 0.50–3 mm and a usable width of 6–8 m. Depending on the application and configuration, line capacity can reach up to 1,200 kg/h.
Single or Double-Sided Texturing
One or both surfaces of the geomembrane can be textured.
The textured surface can be used to improve the surface grip characteristics of the geomembrane in field applications. Solutions can also be provided to leave a smooth strip on the film in order to facilitate welding operations.
Geo FutureFilm® Standard Line Configuration
The standard configuration of Bandera Geo FutureFilm® lines includes multiple extruders and auxiliary equipment configured according to production requirements.
High-Capacity Inner Layer Extruder
A high-capacity extruder is used to produce the main layer of the geomembrane.
The extruder can be configured with a bimetallic barrel and a wear-resistant coated screw.
Outer Layer Extruders
Two smaller extruders can be used for the production of the outer layers.
This configuration enables the multilayer structure of the geomembrane to be created according to production requirements.
Coextrusion Head and IBC
Geo FutureFilm® lines can use a coextrusion head with a die diameter of up to 2,300 mm.
The die is configured to operate with an Internal Bubble Cooling (IBC) system. The IBC system is used to cool the bubble during the blown film process.
Fixed Haul-Off Unit
The fixed haul-off unit, designed according to production requirements, is configured for the controlled pulling of thick geomembranes.
Fully Automatic Winding System
Bandera Geo FutureFilm® standard configurations can use fully automatic winders with a width of 8.5 meters.
The system is configured with automatic shaft extraction and roll unloading functions.

Compatibility with Agricultural Film Production
One of the notable features of the Geo FutureFilm® line is the possibility of switching to agricultural film production using the same extrusion head.
This configuration can provide production flexibility for thinner agricultural films in addition to geomembranes. Bandera also states that its Agri FutureFilm® solution can switch to thicker films such as geomembranes using the same coextrusion head.

Line width, capacity, layer structure and equipment configuration are determined according to the characteristics of the geomembrane to be produced and the project requirements.
