Thanks to these features, AlphaPET® can be configured to manufacture a wide range of products, from thin PET films to thicker sheet applications.
Advanced Technology in PET Extrusion
Bandera's PET technology has been developed for processing both virgin PET and recycled PET.
For the use of recycled raw materials in PET products, Bandera utilizes HVTSE® co-rotating twin-screw extrusion technology.
This technology provides a process approach that enables PET to be processed without preliminary drying or dehumidification. In Bandera's PET lines, recycled PET can be sourced from different materials such as post-consumer bottle flakes, thermoforming scrap and recycled materials obtained from preforms.
Extensive Application Flexibility
AlphaPET® is designed not only for standard PET sheet production but also for manufacturing products intended for various technical and packaging applications.
The following applications are particularly prominent within Bandera's AlphaPET product range:
TDO Label Films
Special PET film applications suitable for transverse direction orientation (TDO) processes.
Furniture Films
PET films for furniture and decorative surface applications.
Credit Card Films
Special PET film applications requiring high quality and controlled film properties.
Food Packaging
PET films and sheets for thermoforming and various packaging applications.
Industrial Packaging
Industrial packaging applications where technical properties and product durability are key requirements.
Converting and Printing
PET film applications for printing, lamination and advanced converting processes.
Medical and Pharmaceutical Packaging
Medical and pharmaceutical packaging applications with high quality requirements.
Advanced Calendering System
AlphaPET® is configured with a robust horizontal calender roll group to ensure high process stability across a wide product thickness range.
The calendering system is designed to meet production requirements such as:
- Operation across a wide product thickness range,
- Controlled cooling,
- Surface quality,
- Stable control of product thickness
Bandera highlights the AlphaPET calender configuration for product thicknesses ranging from 0.12 mm to 1.60 mm.
Lamination and Coating Solutions
AlphaPET® is not limited to PET film and sheet extrusion.
According to customer requirements, the line can be configured with:
- In-Calender lamination
- Off-Calender lamination
- Extrusion coating
These solutions enable the production of multilayer composite products combining different materials.
VelPET® – Lightweight PET Packaging Technology
The AlphaPET® platform can also be combined with Bandera's VelPET® structural E-PET foam film technology.
VelPET® is a specialized technology used for PET foam film production aimed at developing lighter packaging solutions.
This technology offers an alternative solution for optimizing material consumption in PET-based packaging products.
Use of Recycled PET
Bandera's PET extrusion technologies have been developed for the use of recycled PET.
Thanks to HVTSE® co-rotating twin-screw extruder technology, recycled PET raw materials can be incorporated into PET film and sheet production.
Typical recycled PET sources include:
- Post-consumer PET bottle flakes
- Thermoforming scrap
- Recycled materials obtained from PET preforms
