General Features
The highest energy-efficiency level defined by EUROMAP 46.1 has now been surpassed.
The new fully electric mold-closing unit further improves the outstanding efficiency of all ST BlowMoulding machines equipped with adiabatic extruders. A small servo motor can generate clamping forces of up to 2,000 kN through the toggle mechanism.
The clamping force is electronically adjusted on every cycle to ensure maximum repeatability under all conditions.
Different mold thicknesses are no longer a problem: the clamping unit offers a wide adjustment range according to mold thickness.
The ER version of the new AX Series enables fast and easy simultaneous changeover of the head tooling and mold.
The upper platform moves sideways, completely opening the area above the clamping unit for mold changes and positioning the extrusion head appropriately for head-tooling replacement.
A specially designed transport trolley makes access to the extrusion head even easier and safer, while the revolutionary Automatic Head Tool Change system (AHC) completely eliminates the need for manual handling of head tooling.
Production changeovers have never been this fast, effortless and safe!
