Operating Principle
The VARISORT COMPACT multi-sensor sorting system has been specially developed for sorting three-dimensional materials as well as electronic waste. VARISORT COMPACT combines a high-speed conveyor with a vibratory feeder, eliminating the effects of material weight, shape, and abrasive properties for improved sorting quality. As a result, materials that were previously impossible to sort can now be processed.
Compared with conventional belt sorting systems, VARISORT COMPACT offers a compact design, reduced space requirements, and greater flexibility for production changes driven by constantly changing market conditions. The inductive metal sensor detects all types of metal down to 1.0 mm. The camera sensor enables the processing of differently colored metals as well as various other materials in the 5 to 50 mm size range, which can be sorted by color, shape, and/or size. If required, polymer materials can also be identified using a near-infrared sensor and sorted accordingly.
