Barwell ECO-NX is a new-generation smart RAM rubber preforming system developed for the accurate, efficient and repeatable processing of rubber and synthetic polymer compounds. By combining a secure Internet Gateway with advanced control technology, it enables machines, sensors, devices and operators to communicate within a connected Industry 4.0 production environment.

Its operator-friendly and versatile design allows a wide variety of rubber and polymer compounds to be processed. High-accuracy portioning, automatic weight control and advanced process monitoring help achieve consistent preforms while reducing unnecessary material waste.

High-Pressure ECO-NX H-Series

The ECO-NX H-Series has been developed for tough or specialist compounds where the production rates required may be difficult to achieve with standard preforming systems. Its increased extrusion pressure makes it particularly suitable for demanding applications such as automotive component production.

Operating at pressures of up to 350 bar (5000 psi), the high-pressure system can provide substantially increased output compared with a standard 210 bar (3000 psi) machine under suitable processing conditions. This is particularly beneficial where material screening or filtering is required and would otherwise restrict production throughput.
