General Features
The separation stages are controlled by air valves, the position of the air-injection channel and the air volume. The air separator can be operated in exhaust-air mode or with air recirculation. Extracted air is cleaned by a downstream filter unit or cyclone separator.
Machine:
The machine separates coarse bulk materials according to specific gravity, shape and size.
Options:
Depending on the individual application or the abrasiveness of the material to be separated, various wear-protection versions are available, including HARDOX, PU, stainless steel and ceramic. A complete stainless-steel design and surface treatments tailored to requirements are also available.
The material to be separated is fed through a vibrating distribution chute into the channel of the cross-flow separator and distributed across the full cross-section. Separation air generated by the blower flows horizontally through the separator across the entire machine width, directing and separating the feed material according to its specific gravity.
Material with a higher density therefore sinks more quickly under the influence of gravity and is discharged through the outlet. Medium-weight products are carried by the horizontally directed air flow and discharged separately. The light fraction is picked up by the air stream and removed by aspiration.
